This privacy policy explains what information Wild for Nature (www.wildfornature.com) collects when you visit the site and how it is used. It is effective from 1 November 2026.
Who is responsible
Wild for Nature is run by Katja. You can contact me at katja (at) wildfornature.com.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and the site has no signup or contact forms and does not accept new comments. We do not collect your name or email address through the website.
Some older posts show comments that readers left on the previous version of this site (first name or nickname, date and comment text only; email addresses and IP addresses were not carried over). If you want a comment of yours removed, email me and I will delete it.
Like every website, our web server automatically records technical data about each visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, the date and time, and your browser type. This is stored in server logs by our hosting provider for a limited time to keep the site secure and working, and is not used to identify you.
If you email me, I will use your email address only to reply to you.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies of its own (our hosting provider's servers may set a technical cookie for security purposes, which we do not control). With your consent, we use Google Analytics (provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to understand which pages are read. When you click "Accept" in the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and ga...) and receives your IP address in shortened form, the pages you visit, and technical details such as browser and device. Nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set unless you accept. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, which also deletes the analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or the Facebook pixel.
Links to other websites, affiliate links and embedded content
Some posts contain links to other websites and some are affiliate links (for example to Amazon or Etsy). If you buy something through such a link, I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Once you leave this site, the other website's own privacy policy and cookies apply, and we have no control over them. Some posts may embed videos (for example from YouTube, loaded in privacy-enhanced mode); the provider may set cookies when you play them.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to the address above.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep the site and its data secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
